Feedel Lifetime Achievement Award!
The Feedel Lifetime Achievement Award is given annually to up to five individuals whose musical careers have greatly contributed to the advancement of Ethiopian music nationwide or worldwide. Nominations are reviewed and winners selected by the band members. Factors considered in the selection process include: A number of musical instruments have mastered by an artist, span and scope of career; estimated number of lives individual has touched through his or her art; legacy of the individual's work; additional awards or honors received; and references.
Winners will be notified by June 16th. An award ceremony will be held at 2327 18th ST NW, DC upper level Columbia station Jazz club on Sunday July 5th at 8pm the ceremony will take place during the last day of the Feedel Ethiopian jazz festival event.
